How can we help?

Quick answers first. Still stuck? Email us.

  • Signing in

    Didn’t get your code?
Check the number and the country, then tap Resend code once the timer runs out. If a code has expired, Resend sends you a new one.
    Who can use Tally?
Anyone 16 or older in the US and Canada, with a US or Canadian phone number.
  • Friends and followers

How do I add a friend?
Follow them from search or your contacts. When they follow you back, you’re friends. A link from Invite a friend makes you friends right away.
    Who can follow me?
People you know follow you right away; anyone else asks first. Change it in Settings → Privacy → Who can follow you without asking.
How do I remove a follower?
Open their profile, tap ••• and choose Remove follower. To follow you again, they’d have to ask.
  • Food

How do I fix a meal estimate?
Open the meal and tap Fix results.
    Who sees my meal photos?
Only you, unless you post the meal. To estimate it, Tally sends the photo or what you typed to OpenAI, and nothing else about you. Rather not use AI? Search the food database instead.
How do I remove a shared meal from just my log?
Open the meal, tap the menu and choose Remove from my log. Everyone else keeps their copy.
  • Workouts and forecasts

    A friend logged a workout I wasn’t at
Open it and tap I wasn’t there. It comes off your log, and your friend’s copy stays as it is.
    When do forecasts start?
Strength forecasts start after your first week, once you’ve logged a lift twice. Weight forecasts need five weigh-ins over at least ten days. They’re estimates, and they sharpen the more you log.
  • Privacy and your data

How do I choose who sees my posts?
Each post has its own audience. Your default is in Settings → Sharing.
Who sees my weight and calories?
No one. Your body weight, weigh-ins and daily calorie totals never appear on a post, profile, notification, widget or share image.
How do I export my data?
Profile → Settings → Export my data. Tally saves your account’s data (your log, posts, follows and settings) to one file and opens the share sheet, so you can keep it or send it anywhere.
How do I delete my account?
Profile → Settings → Delete account. It’s immediate, and your posts, comments and follows go with it. Friends keep their own copies of shared workouts and meals.
  • Safety

    How do I report someone?
Tap ••• on their profile or post and choose Report; for a comment, press and hold it. A person reviews every report within 24 hours, and they won’t know it was you.
    How do I block someone?
Open their profile, tap ••• and choose Block. You won’t see each other anywhere on Tally, and they aren’t told. Unblock any time in Settings → Privacy → Blocked people.
